Ping was founded over 40 years ago by Karsten Solheim, with the goal of helping golfers play their best golf. Frustrated with his putter, the GE engineer set about designing his own, and was delighted with its performance - the ball ‘pinged’ off the club. And so the name was born. In the 1970s they were the first golf company to venture into customised golf clubs, and Ping have gone from strength to strength, manufacturing ranges of highly successful premium golf clubs including the new Rapture golf drivers, irons, hybrids and fairway woods. Their funky Craz-E putter range has attracted much media attention, and Ping have also produced the i-Wedge and a range of golf bags, including both stand bags and cart bags. They also have a full range of ladies’ golf clubs and golf equipment. |
