The technology available with the TaylorMade R9 enables you to adjust up to 75 yards of side to side trajectory and provides super high MOI and easy launching centre of gravity positions. These revolutionary features together with the Fujikura Motore F1 65 gram low torque graphite shaft with High Inertia Tip technology will provide you with a truly awesome golf driver.
Technology
TaylorMade’s Flight Control Technology
Flight Control Technology (FCT) allows the player to easily adjust a metalwood loft lie and angle. FCT utilizes a metallic sleeve positioned over the tip of the shaft. The sleeve can be rotated into different positions , changing the characteristics of the head, by loosening the bolt that secures the sleeve and shaft into the clubhead.
Movable Weight Technology
Is discretionary clubhead weight that can be easily redistributed by the player to change the characteristics of the TaylorMade R9. By moving differently weighted cartridges using a proprietary Taylormade wrench, into strategically positioned ports, centre of gravity locations can be optimized per golfer. Positioning more weight in the heel and less in the toe, speeds club head rotation during the forward swing, which promotes a draw/or a slice.
Inverted Cone Technology
The Inverted Cone is CNC milled directly into the inner side of the clubface, resulting in a drastic variation in face thickness. ICT optimizes the way the clubface behaves at impact to create an expanded COR zone.
Ultra Thin Wall Technology (UWT)
UWT is a casting process that allows the thinner clubhead walls than found in most competitive drivers. The saved weight is critical to making the incorporation of MWT and FCT possible in the TalylorMade R9.
