The New Wilson Staff Di9 Iron 4-SW (Steel) has fined tuned the previous successes of the award winning Di7 iron to deliver greater power, straighter shots with even more feel. The new Di9 iron features two of the game's hottest lightweight performance shafts, customised with Wilson Staff patented wide tip technology. A wider shaft tip reduces torque at impact to prevent twisting on off centre hit

The true temper Tx99 is the first wide tip steel shaft under 100 grams. Its .450 tip diameter is softer and more responsive in the hands.

The UST Pro Force V2 graphite shaft is 10 grams lighter than the original V2, for even higher club head speeds and greater distance. Its softer tip section produces higher launch angles and softer feel.

While its low profile, wide sole head design is visually appealing, it is also highly functional. Because 85% of all shots are hit from the centre to the toe, the Di9 incorporates a toe friendly cavity that extends the sweet spot to where most shots are hit.

Covering the entire length of the cavity is a low durometer, vibration dampening urethane medallion which expands the sweet spot to the entire length of the face.

The urethane insert is thicker in the heel and serves as a shock trap that reduces the vibrations that travel through the hosel, up the shaft and into your hands.

Inspired by high end performance tire treads, the new grips featured on the Di9 irons are manufactured exclusively for Wilson by leading grip manufacturer Lamkin and feature three innovations designed to deliver the ultimate in feel and performance. Blister free zones provide smooth feel in the critical touch points. Lateral stability grooves provide improved grip in the critical primary palm area, while torsional stability grooves prevent twisting in the hands.

In most competitive iron sets, loft gaps between irons in a set vary, creating unequal distance gaps between clubs. These gaps are largest in the short irons, where the distance control is most critical.

The new Di9 employs an innovative smooth gapping strategy between each iron in the set. This ensures consistent distance gaps from the club to club.
