Gore Tex - Performance Shell Waterproof Outer Layer

Gore has a long history of technical innovation stretching back to 1978 when they launched their first waterproof and windproof garments. Their fabrics are created by laminating Gore-Tex to other high performance technical fabrics and then sealing them with an innovative solution. The Gore-Tex membrane contains over 1.4 billion microscopic pores per square cm. These pores are 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet, but 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule, which makes the Gore-Tex totally waterproof from the outside, while allowing perspiration to escape from the inside.

Galvin Green’s 2009/2010 waterproof range includes some exciting new styles and colours. Indeed, new colour options – including many in striking lava orange, porcini brown or vapour blue – run through the heart of the collection.

The Performance Shell range is spearheaded with three new men’s Gore-Tex waterproof jackets. Axiom and Akron are made from innovative Stretch Gore-Tex Performance Shell fabric for maximum freedom of movement, with Akron also featuring Insula lining for added warmth, while Alton is an innovative black hooded parka with a deep pile lining. Two new ladies’ waterproof jackets, Almina and Anya, have also been added.
