Are you average? The answer is probably no, as your height, stance, glove size, swing speeded and ball flight could possibly be unique to you. Now that’s not something that any golf club manufacturer can take into account in the make-up of their standard sets. So no matter your handicap, you should consider custom fit – after all it adds nothing to the price of the clubs. The following questionnaire will take you through a number of steps necessary to fit you correctly. Step 1 – About youThese are basic questions to give us an idea of who you are. Those relating to your height and the distance from your wrist to the floor will enable use to determine appropriate shaft lengths and lie angles. Your hand size will determine the most suitable grip size.Getting the lie angle correct is very important. The club should sit so that the centre of the sole is touching the ground. If it is not, then the ball will fly left or right of your target. Step 2 – About your gameThe answer to these questions fills in more detail about your handicap, carry distance and ball flight, which in turn with the rest of the answers you have provided will enable use to determine your correct shaft flex.Getting the shaft flex right is equally important too. If it is too flexible for your swing speed then the ball will fly high, too stiff the ball will fly low, both losing you distance. Step 3 – About the clubs you requireNow what you want and what would be the best for you may be at odds. So we will always make two recommendations!Step 4 – And finallyWell of course we need your name telephone number and e-mail address so that we can get back to you quickly. So give our golf club custom fit programme a try, you will be under no obligation to buy – so nothing venture, nothing gained!
