Waterproofs | Base Layer | Warm Layer | Multi-Layering | Outer Layer |
Now wet weather can be associated with either chilly or sunny conditions. Dependent on which is being experienced, will dictate the need for a warm thermal layer. A chilly day requires golf clothes manufactured from fabrics which are designed to stop the movement of air, holding it close to or within the fabric allowing it to be warmed by the body. Cold weather will necessitate at least a light weight fleece, while icy conditions could call for a couple – two thin layers being better than one thick one, as more air is trapped. Finally, this layer must breath too, passing the moisture wicked away by the base layer, closer to the outer atmosphere.![]() Good brands to consider are Masters Golf, Sunderland and the Insula range from Galvin Green.
