Ping G15 series launch

Ping Golf has always recognised the importance of golfers selecting the right clubs taking into account physique, swing speed and handicap. So this year, for their fiftieth anniversary in club making, they have replaced the very popular and award winning G10 with the G15 series that have been developed with two very different player types in mind.

The eagerly awaited launch of the G15 once again featured a comprehensive range of clubs including irons, drivers, fairway woods and hybrids. Details are as follows.

Ping G15 irons

Clubs designed with high launch angles and maximum forgiveness sought after by the majority of golfers. The stainless steel heads feature an updated cavity design that saves 7 grams which has been moved to the perimeter
thereby further enhancing the MOI – moment of inertia. The heads also feature thinner club faces that release weight to be positioned at the toe - a great benefit on miss hit shots. Finally the wider sole moves weight further away from the face helping to create higher flying, longer launch shots.

Ping G15 driver

The 460cc Titanium head is longer from front to back enabling weight saved from the crown to be positioned as an external weight pad well away from the face. This optimises the centre of gravity – CG, yielding a higher trajectory and reduced spin. The larger face is designed to provide increased ball speed for greater distance and also provide consistency across the hitting surface, a real plus for the majority of golfers.

Ping G15 fairway woods

The club features an elongated head and low profile making it ideal for all conditions. This and the external weight pad, which positions the CG further back creating a higher launch angle and greater distance, will create confidence and appeal to many golfers.
