Performance You Can Believe In

The 909H features a tour proven, modern profile that creates a deeper CG for greater stability. The larger head with a longer face of the 909H provides confidence and forgiveness.

Each 909H is constructed with a precision cast 17-4 Stainless Steel body and 455 Carpenter Steel face insert for a lively feel and increased ball speed. The size, shape, offset, and CG location progress through the lofts to provide the proper ball flight, workability, and trajectory control.

The factory installed SureFit Swingweight Screw helps to position the CG deep and low for great stability, while also providing a precise head to shaft match.

AP1 - Advanced Performance you can Feel

Titleist’s AP1 irons are advanced performance, multi-material, dual-cavity irons, which promise improved feel, great looks, excellent control and higher ball-flight, while also offering forgiveness on off-centre shots. This combination makes them ideal for mid-handicap golfers as well as for lower handicaps.

Improved Feel, More Forgiveness

Building on the high technology design and resounding success of the original AP irons, the AP1 take the design mission of "Advanced Performance You Can Feel" to new heights.

The concept for the original Advanced Performance irons arose as a result of research that indicated serious golfers want performance with great feel – rather than at the expense of feel. With this in mind, Titleist’s R&D team’s advanced research group conducted extensive sound and vibration analysis aimed at reducing the harsh lower frequency vibration that causes poor feel in irons. This led to combining several technologies and materials in the back cavity of the new AP irons, resulting in a new Tuned Feel System to take feel to a new level.

The new Tuned Feel System is a co-moulded medallion of soft elastomer and aluminium plate. This insert has been specifically designed to improve the sound and feel of each new iron. For the thinner face, larger cavity AP1, a hotter, more lively feel has been enhanced.

Extensive improvements to the new AP1 structure include reducing the face thickness to provide enhanced heel, toe, and deep weighting to the frame and moving the tungsten nickel material to the sole resulting in increased stability and forgiveness.

AP2 – Improved Feel; More Control

Like Titleist’s AP1, the AP2 irons are advanced performance, multi-material, dual cavity irons, but forged for even better feel, with a classic blade shape. The AP2 irons, built on the hi-tech design and outstanding success of the original AP series, offer a combination of playability and advanced shot control for the serious golfer.

Specific to the AP2, a softer, more solid feel has been achieved, and other subtle refinements to the new AP2 have created performance gains in feel, sound, and turf interaction. The lower cavity is enclosed by a tungsten nickel box, whose density material locates the weight low and deep while providing structural rigidity and vibration dampening, while also reducing the sole and back flange width for better turf performance and shot control.

The forged 1025 carbon steel body and tungsten nickel sole also combine to offer unparalleled feel, while the dual cavity design of the Titleist AP2 irons pushes weight to the perimeter for forgiveness.
