They hybrid chip shot is a great way out of a difficult lie. Play the shot with your hybrid club, with firm wrists and a rock of the shoulders as you swing the club back and forth on a straight line, brushing the surface as you swing through. You will be surprised how effectively the ball pops out and amazed at how good the contact will be!
This shot can be played from around the green in the rough, and from the apron of the green. It is the perfect shot to play when faced with a slope or series of tears in a green, as the club has little loft and the ball runs along the surface. When playing this shot, or a pitch shot, try to keep your weight ahead of the ball at impact, so set up properly prior to playing the shot.
